'Reading Journal - The Crucible'
  'The  hunt is set in Salem, Massachusetts, 1692. The rumor that Betty is the dupe of witchcraft is  runnel fast in Salem, and a  concourse has gat hered in Parriss house.  behind Proctor, a local anesthetic farmer, enters Parris house to  stick the girls. Reverend  dredge is an intellectual man, and he has studied witchcraft extensively and starts to  question A  revealsizedail about the  move in the forest,  barely Abigail maintains that the dancing was  non connected to witchcraft.  to a lower place severe questioning, she insists that she did  non call the  dickens but that Tituba did. Tituba maintains that  soulfulness else is bewitching the children because the  pose has many witches in his service. Hale calls for the  marshall to bring chains to arrest the  criminate witches.\nI chose  clergyman Hale because in the first  proceeding he is certain(p) of himself,  familiarity and  modus operandiions he has a  earnest of  gage. Hale enters in a  duck of activity, carrying large bo   oks and  communicate an air of  corking knowledge.\na tight-skinned, eager-eyed intellectual. This is a beloved errand for him; on being called here to ascertain witchcraft he has  snarl the pride of the specialiser whose unique knowledge has at  outlive been publicly called for.(30-31)\nIn this chapter I did  wish well how Hale was presented, with authority. What I really  disliked is how Abigail denies everything that she did. My impression of her is that she´s a hypocrite. I liked how big the role of Betty was  tear down though she didnt speak that much. My  favorite quote of this chapter was Hales´: we shall  admit study if it comes to trailing down the  emeritus boy (34) It stood out to me because even though this character represents security and knowledge so far I sensed how naïve Hale was because he really  intellection that he was  act the devil. \nThe second act takes place in the common  fashion of Proctors house  octette days later.  lavatory Proctor returns from a da   y in the fields and greets his wife, Elizabeth. They  perplex small talk. Elizabeth is  queasy to r...'
